There are two modes in which you can arm your system, Away Mode and Stay Mode. The functioning of your system in these modes is based on the way in which your system was set up. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding the differences for your system.
To arm your system in either Away Mode or Stay Mode, type in your code. The keypad will start counting down. If you leave through a designated entry/exit zone your alarm will go into Away Mode. If you do not leave, you alarm will go into Stay Mode.
There are two additional ways to arm your system. For Away Mode, press and hold the ‘Away’ function key for 2 seconds. For Stay Mode, press and hold the ‘Stay’ function key for 2 seconds.
You can bypass a zone so that alarms cannot be triggered in that zone. For example, say you want to leave a window open at night…
To un-bypass or bypass a zone, follow these steps:
Step 1 – Enter *1 (Meaning enter * then enter 1)
Step 2 – Scroll to or enter the two-digit zone number to be bypassed or un-bypassed. If there is a B in the lower right hand corner for that zone, it is currently bypassed.
Step 3 – Enter * to bypass or un-bypass that zone
Step 3 – Enter # to exit
The backup battery provides power to the alarm system in the event of a power loss. If the backup battery needs replacement, please contact us to purchase a new one or to schedule an appointment.
Note: After replacing the battery, it may take up to 24 hours for the battery trouble indication to clear on the keypad.
