About This 149-Acre Ohio Park

Beartown Lakes Reservation is a 149-acre park located in both Auburn and Bainbridge townships, with the official address: 18870 Quinn Rd, Chagrin Falls, OH 44023. This picturesque reservation is known for its serene lakes, lush forests, and diverse wildlife. Here are some of the highlights of this park; a full-grown beech-maple forest and more than 22 acres of open water.

Spring Creek, an influent of the Aurora branch of the Chagrin River, flows along the northwest boundary of the park. Neighboring on to this stream and around the lakes are wetlands. Beaver lodges are noticeable in these areas. The centerpiece of the park is the three interconnected lakes and a smaller pond which cover more than 22 acres of the park, offering opportunities for fishing, boating, and kayaking. Upper Bear Lake brims with lots aquatic lives such as frogs, turtles, water snakes. Middle Bear Lake accommodates lots of dead snags for cavity-nesting birds, while Lower Bear Lake is known for supporting populations of bass, northern pike, and bluegill due to its large and deep area.

Beartown lake reservations in CLE has three picnic areas. North Point Shelter overlooks Lower Bear Lake, while Minnow Pond Shelter is nestled in the woods. Electricity, water and nearby restrooms are available to sort the needs of visitors. North Point Shelter also consist of a playground. Both of these shelters can be reserved by calling the Park District. A third, smaller pavilion is located along the Lake Trail. About 70 acres of the park is covered with Beech-maple forestland. Each spring, these woods are laid with a meadow abundant with wildflowers and grasses, a pine stand, shrub thickets, which makes the area habitable to many species of wildlife, including songbirds, deer, and a variety of small mammals.

From Beartown lake reservations, head east toward Quinn Rd, turn right onto Quinn Rd, turn right onto Bartholomew Rd, turn left onto Munn Rd, turn left onto OH-87 W, turn right onto Sperry Rd, turn left onto Sherman Rd, turn right onto OH-306 N, turn right onto Tyler Blvd, turn right twice toward St Clair Ave, sharp right toward St Clair Ave, turn right onto St Clair Ave, turn left twice, your destination will be on the right (Rhodes Security Systems).
